The Turkish Delegation Toured the Azerbaijan Air Force’s Military Units

The thirteenth round of staff discussions between the Azerbaijani and Turkish Air Forces continues. In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation program between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey for 2022, the staff discussions are now taking place, according to Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan website on December 23, 2022.

In accordance with the plan, the group visited the Azerbaijan Air Force’s military units. The guests were given a comprehensive briefing on the establishment and activity of military groups, as well as fighting routes during the First Karabakh War and Patriotic War.

Following that, the Turkish delegation was thoroughly briefed on the combat equipment and planes available to the armed units. Finally, the parties exchanged gifts and posed for a photo.

The Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle is one of the weapon systems that Azerbaijan bought from Turkey. At the end of 2020, Azerbaijan engaged in combat with Armenia with this drone.

Azerbaijan’s success in the battle with Armenia was aided in large part by the use of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 and Israeli Heron-TP drones.
